1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, MathRoutine may collect information such as name, email address, grade level, optional school name, language preferences, account settings, and subscription status.

We also collect learning activity such as generated problems, submitted answers, equations, written responses, rubric scores, reasoning breakdowns, attempts, timing, accuracy, weak topics, AI support actions, and support requests.

We do not ask students to enter sensitive personal details that are not needed for math practice. Families should avoid putting private information inside free-text answer, equation, or support fields.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate the service, generate grade/topic/difficulty-based word problems, track progress, show reports, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support.

We may use aggregated or de-identified usage patterns to improve problem quality and product reliability.

3. Student and Child Privacy

MathRoutine is intended for educational practice. If a student is under the age required to consent to online services in their location, a parent, guardian, school, or authorized adult should supervise account creation and use.

Parents or guardians may contact support@mathroutine.com to ask privacy questions, request account deletion, request review of student-related information, or ask us to remove student learning records associated with an account.

If MathRoutine is used by a school or tutor, that organization is responsible for making sure it has permission to create or manage student accounts.

4. AI Processing

Pro AI Assist and FRQ rubric grading may process problem text, student-entered work, written responses, selected language, and related context to provide key information, guided steps, simplified English, vocabulary help, translation, rubric scoring, and reasoning feedback.

By default, MathRoutine stores AI usage records without saving full prompt and response text unless needed for reliability, support, abuse prevention, or debugging.

MathRoutine does not use personal account data to train external AI models. AI output may be imperfect, so students should still check their reasoning and final work.

5. Payments

Payments and subscription management are processed by Stripe. MathRoutine does not store full credit card numbers or card security codes.

Stripe may process billing details according to its own privacy and security practices.

6. Data Sharing

We share information only with service providers needed to operate MathRoutine, such as hosting, database, email delivery, AI processing, analytics, and payment providers.

We do not sell student personal information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account and learning data while the account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Operational logs are kept for limited periods where possible. Current defaults include 90 days for AI usage logs, 30 days for problem generation failure logs, 90 days for security event logs, and 730 days for admin audit logs.

You may request account deletion or data questions by contacting support@mathroutine.com. We aim to respond to deletion and privacy requests within 30 days unless legal, security, or billing obligations require more time.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards including password hashing, protected admin routes, rate limiting, security headers, audit logging for admin changes, HTTPS, and restricted production secrets.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we discover a security issue that affects user data, we will investigate, limit harm, and notify affected users when legally required or appropriate.

9. Contact
