FAQ

Clear answers before students start practicing

Details about plans, AI support, billing, student data, language tools, and cancellation.

What is MathRoutine?

MathRoutine is a Grade 1-12 math word problem practice platform that helps separate why a student missed: equation setup, calculation, vocabulary, hidden quantity, final-question confusion, or repeated misconception patterns.

Who is MathRoutine for?

MathRoutine is for students who need more practice with word problems, especially when the wording, vocabulary, or language of the problem makes the math harder to understand.

What is included in the Free plan?

Free includes 5 generated word problems per day, grade/topic/difficulty selection, and core dashboard access. It is meant to build a small evidence signal before paying. AI Assist tools are not included.

What does the Basic plan include?

Basic is best when the student understands the wording but needs more targeted practice volume. It includes unlimited generated word problems, progress tracking, and weak topic reports. AI Assist tools are not included.

What does the Pro plan include?

Pro is best when wording, vocabulary, multi-step setup, written reasoning, or repeated misconception patterns are the blocker. It includes AI support after effort, FRQ rubric grading, reasoning-score breakdowns, weakness memory, comeback practice, and monthly parent-readable progress reports.

Does MathRoutine support Grade 11 and Grade 12?

Yes. MathRoutine supports Grade 1-12 practice. Upper-grade work includes Algebra 2-style reasoning, Precalculus, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, and Pro-only FRQ rubric practice where written justification matters.

Does AI give the answer directly?

AI Assist is designed to support thinking after the student has tried. The tools focus on key information, vocabulary, simplified wording, translation, and next steps rather than simply giving the final answer.

What is FRQ rubric grading?

FRQ rubric grading is a Pro feature for longer written responses. It checks whether the student stated the model, justified endpoint or condition decisions, used correct notation, and earned credit-worthy reasoning instead of only matching a final number.

What languages are supported?

MathRoutine can translate and explain word problems in multiple languages. Translation quality may vary by language, so students should still use the original problem text when checking final work.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Paid subscriptions can be canceled through the Stripe billing portal. Access remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Do you provide refunds?

MathRoutine generally does not provide partial refunds for unused subscription time. Duplicate charges or billing errors may be reviewed by contacting support@mathroutine.com.

How is student data used?

MathRoutine uses account, practice, answer, equation, timing, and progress data to operate the learning platform, personalize practice, show reports, prevent abuse, and provide support. We do not sell student personal information.

Can parents request data deletion?

Yes. Parents, guardians, or account owners can contact support@mathroutine.com to request account deletion, review student-related information, or ask privacy questions. We aim to respond to deletion and privacy requests within 30 days unless legal, security, or billing obligations require more time.

Is MathRoutine a replacement for a teacher or tutor?

No. MathRoutine is a practice and support tool. It does not guarantee academic results and should not replace instruction from teachers, tutors, or parents.
